The 8th annual Cornerstone Journalism Institute will occur July 25-30, 2010, on the campus of Cornerstone University, offering students an introducting to professional writing and photography, culminating in the publication of a print newspaper containing student work, announced Alan Blanchard, executive director of CJI and associate professor of journalism at Cornerstone University.
For the first time, students may be eligible to receive 1 semester hour of university credit if they meet the appropriate school criteria. The cost of the camp, a $399 registration fee plus a $35 activity fee, includes all meals, lodging, activities, instruction. Partial scholarships are available for students with financial need.
Students entering 9th grade through 12th grades in high school, plus students entering freshman year of college, in Fall 2010, are eligible to apply for admission to the 8th annual Cornerstone Journalism Institute.
